Safeguarding

Promoting the safety and wellbeing of every child and young person

Back on Track Pathways recognises that safeguarding is fundamental to all work with children and young people. The safety and wellbeing of pupils is the highest priority at all times.

Support is delivered on a 1:1 basis in suitable, risk-assessed environments, with careful consideration given to the individual needs of each child. A calm, structured approach helps pupils feel safe, respected, and able to engage positively.

Appropriate procedures are followed to identify and respond to concerns, and information will be shared with relevant services where necessary in line with safeguarding responsibilities.

Back on Track Pathways works collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and families to ensure relevant information, including risk factors, medical needs, and emergency contacts, is understood prior to provision starting.

All adults working directly with children are experienced in supporting young people and hold appropriate enhanced DBS clearance.

Safeguarding policies and further information can be provided to referring organisations on request.
